The Metro Center’s classification carries great historical, cultural, and urban value. This picture examines the nodal linkages that surround the Metro Centre, including access to Queen Street, Albert Park, and Myers Park. This structure serves as a beacon because of its location at the top of Queen Street and should be recognized as such. With a long history and a direct relationship to Aotea Square, the Waihorotiu stream is another important cultural and historical value to the site.

As a reuse and adapt scheme, the viability of the project revolves around best integrating existing elements into the project, being considerate of loading beams and existing slabs meant I was able to remove the void with sacrificing any structural load that would require a redesign.
